Auditing, Finance and Taxation (M.A.)
Master of Arts
Features of the degree program Auditing, Finance and Taxation
The extra-occupational Master's degree program in Auditing, Finance and Taxation is a joint degree program of the Münster University of Applied Sciences and the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and was developed in a project funded by the Bund Länder-Commission [Federal and State Commission] (development of dual degree programs in the tertiary sector). The goal of the degree program is the transfer of knowledge and skills that match the professional profile of an auditor. To do this, subject-related practical phases are combined with high-quality theoretical education and comprehensive social skills are to be developed. The training program offers students
- the expansion and concentration of tax and economic testing expertise, which is scientifically sound and application oriented
- the further development of analytical method competence in order to be able to systematically solve interdisciplinary problems of tax and management consulting and legal services
- the development of communicative skills for the integration and management of international teams with high professional competence
- the promotion of personality development through the conveyance of professional field-related key qualifications
- a partial crediting of university graded examinations on the public accountant examinations
- early admission to the public accounting examinations
- study in small groups
- close cooperation with many tax advising and accounting firms
- intensive personal supervision and support by the faculty and the Auditing, Finance and Taxation Office
- the internationally recognized Master of Arts (M.A.) degree
Credits from the Master's program replace the corresponding examinations of the public accounting examinations in the areas of "Applied Economics", "Economics" and "Commercial Law". Graduates can therefore sit the public accounting examination in an abbreviated form
